Larry Zaleski, D.C. has been a chiropractor in practice for over 25 years. He graduated from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic (South Carolina, USA) in 1981. He ran a successful chiropractic practice from 1983-2000 in Delaware, USA. In 1987, Larry became a national instructor of Network Chiropractic which involved training chiropractors from around the world about the philosophy and technique of releasing the body’s innate intelligence. After passing the licensing examinations and relocating to B.C., Dr. Larry has opened a chiropractic practice at the Hand & Soul Healing Centre in Silverton.

“LISTEN TO BODY/MIND WISDOM” Group Series (4 part)

An extension to the workshop/lecture with a more intensive focus. Each week we will experience different modalities of exploration in listening and responding to the body/mind. Through use of the breath, art-making, imagery, music and other expressive arts processes we access our unconscious mind and discover hidden resources and new perspectives that lie within to aid in our overall health and wellbeing. 4 consecutive THURSDAY’S (10am -12:30)

Oct 25^th: Image and dialogue: discover emotional content and needs within a symptom or challenge.

Nov 1^st: Music Inspired Imagery: based on the work of Helen Bonny, GIM is a powerful tool in accessing your OWN imagery and resources that lie within through the use of deep relaxation and specific classical music pieces.

Nov 8^th: Chakra Painting: Access our energy system through the breath followed by painting with vibrant acrylics.

Nov 15^th: Body Collage: Using magazine images, pictures, photo’s (you bring), and various multimedia materials, create a collage of yourself. $22 per session or $80 for all 4.

“CREATIVE DREAM–IMAGERY” WORKSHOP Sunday- Nov 4th (10-4pm)

Join us in creatively & playfully exploring the imagery and deeper meanings evoked during dream-time. Included are expressive arts processes such as art-making, story telling, creative writing, creative movement and guided imagery and music to access & explore our dream images further. Learn to learn to better remember our dreams and we can work with small dream fragments as well. Snacks included- bring a lunch. Bring a significant dream or a dream fragment to explore.

OPEN ART STUDIO FOR TEENS: Wednesday-November 28^th (6:30-8:30pmAn opportunity for local teens to gather here at Soulgarden’s Gallery for open expressive arts studio. Lots of art materials available such as acrylic paint, water colours, drawing materials, collage materials, clay, ceramic tiles, shells, and lots of multi-media materials to create with! MASK MAKING FOR KIDS: Saturday- Oct 27^th (10-11:30am) Welcome kids to this mask-making workshop during the Halloween season. Make a fun mask or a scary mask or whatever you like to wear on Halloween itself or hang on your wall! Pre-made basic plaster masks and all of the materials included. Limited to 12 kids. MASK MAKING FOR ADULTS: Halloween day- Wednesday- Oct 31^st (10-12:30 pm)

This workshop provides an opportunity to create a unique mask from your creative imagination. Maybe a mask of your inner shadow, warrior, lover, healer, king/queen archetype, crone, anima or animus, power animal, wounded self, Higher Self….Who or what will it be? This workshop will be small and will include some discussion and sharing within a circle. Pre-made basic plaster masks and all of the materials included (paint and plenty of decorative stuff). INTUITIVE PAINTING:” Expressions of the Heart & Soul

Sue Mistretta of Soulgarden will facilitate this workshop which will focus will on our creativity, imagination, and authentic expression. You will have the opportunity to access and explore your own imagery and metaphors using your own personal experiences and emotional energy as we will tap into the universal creative Source available to everyone. No artistic experience necessary. Bring an open mind and a willingness to explore.

Whether you are a counsellor, massage or bodywork practitioner, energy healer, or health care worker you can benefit from this day of stimulating information and practical experiential exercises on learning to move from a focus of symptom relief and wanting our client to feel better or get better to a position of holding the space for our client to heal, assisting them in their removal of their own blocks and then Trusting the Process of an Innate Intelligence orchestrating the healing process. We will discuss the blatant and very subtle traps we all fall prey to as healing practitioners. We will uncover our own investments and ego blocks that keep us from being more present and trusting in the healing relationships we have established with our clients. Hand & Soul Healing Centre Special Event

OPEN HOUSE & HEALING/WELLNESS AFTERNOON: Saturday Oct 13^th (10 am to 5pm)

The Phoenix has risen! Larry and Sue are inviting everyone to join us to celebrate the completion of our Healing Centre and Building project. We are sure many may be curious about how a gas station, followed by a woodworking shop can be transformed into a Healing Centre!

10-12: Open house: Stop in and take a walk through our healing rooms, workshop spaces, and expressive arts studio, enjoy some refreshments and have a visit to see what we are all about and what we offer to our community.

12-5: Healing and Wellness Afternoon: Please come and give yourself a gift of a wellness and self nurturing afternoon! We are offering inspiring and informational mini-talks by practitioners that work through our centre and we will be offering short healing sessions so you can get a sample of everyone’s work. Some of the healing modalities are: Network Chiropractic, Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reiki energy healing, Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music, Family Constellations, Astrology, Chanting in sacred languages & Esoteric Energy practices.

Simply make a donation in our donation box, sign up on the sign-up sheets representing the sessions being offered from the different practitioners and experience as many of the healing mini-sessions as you would like…..Listen to mini-talks…possibly an astrological chart reading….. and/or tarot reading.

Enjoy an atmosphere of Aromatherapy essences and healing music. Schedules will be available on the day when you arrive so be sure to be here early so you can take advantage of everything we have to offer. We look forward to seeing you.

Pre- Perinatal Psychology in brief is about healing any hurts which may have occurred during utero or at birth. We will talk about the history of this work and how it came to be, the importance of early developmental stages in life and learning, and the benefits you and your child may receive from treatment.
